My parents are from Ireland and I was born in London. I moved up to Stevenage in 1976 where I attended local schools followed by a variety of jobs both in the private and public sector.

I started at INS about 10 years ago and my main role is as the Treasurer and supporting members with financial and benefit queries.

My time is busy with volunteering, spending time and looking after my 2 grandchildren and exploring new places.

Heather Morris

Secretary

My role within the INS is that of secretary for the Trustees and I have undertaken this role since July 2010. I first became involved as a way to build on my connections to Ireland within our local community.

Since joining the INS, I have seen great growth in its membership, the activities and inclusion it gives to the local community, as well as it firmly establishing itself as a charity organisation.

My family are from Co. Donegal, a place I truly consider and call my home from home

I was born in Fermoy Co Cork Ireland. I came to London in 1963 and in 1970 I moved to Stevenage with my husband and new baby daughter.

I have always been involved in the voluntary sector as I love meeting and helping people of all ages, however, I become more involved with the elderly community when I retired.
